TRIPTOIDS

Trip description

Ever go mountain biking in Jim Thorpe, PA? It is probably the best all around riding you could do within two hours of home. Great campsites along Mauch Chunk Creek offer immediate access to dozens of trails of different difficulty levels: rails to trails, steep climbs, VERY technical portions, and incredible downhill sections. The campground has hot showers, a pool, campfires and pets (on a leash)are allowed.

Other possible activities include tubing on the Lehigh River (must bring your own tube and life preserver), whitewater rafting or kayaking on Lehigh River, kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboats on Mauch Chunk lake (rentals available), fishing (bait/tackle shop at campground but need PA fishing license), swimming in lake, and hiking (trails right from campground).
